How Does It Feel
How does it feel to begin realizing that much of what we accepted as normal may have never been healthy for the human spirit?
For generations, people have been taught to chase power over peace, greed over compassion, division over unity, and material wealth over spiritual truth. We built societies where profit often mattered more than people, where outrage became entertainment, and where morality slowly became negotiable so long as convenience and comfort remained intact.
Many people of faith would describe those influences as spiritually dark. Not because every institution or law is evil, but because too many systems reward the worst parts of human nature instead of the best. Pride is celebrated. Vanity is marketed. Corruption is excused. Lies spread faster than truth. And those who question the direction of society are often mocked into silence.
The frightening part is not that darkness exists. It always has. The frightening part is how normal it became.
How many people traded convictions for acceptance? How many ignored their instincts because television, culture, politics, or social pressure told them to? How many families were divided, friendships destroyed, and communities broken apart because fear and manipulation became more powerful than love and understanding?
Maybe the awakening many people feel today is not political at all. Maybe it is spiritual.
Maybe people are simply exhausted from living in a world that constantly pulls them away from God, away from peace, away from nature, away from one another, and even away from themselves.
You can feel it everywhere now. People longing for something real again. Honest conversations. Honest love. Honest purpose. Faith. Community. Family. Meaning.
The truth is, darkness only survives where people surrender their light.
And perhaps that is why so many are beginning to reclaim it.
