There are moments in history when the unseen realm presses so closely against the physical world that even the spiritually dull sense something is shifting. A holy reckoning stirs, and the lines between life and death, mercy and judgment, become unmistakably clear. According to prophetic discernment, we are now entering one of those times, the Angel of Death has been loosed upon the earth for a culling.
A Pattern from Ancient Days
In Scripture, the Angel of Death appears not as a mythic figure but as a tangible instrument of divine judgment. In Exodus 12, during the first Passover in Egypt, God sent the destroyer to strike down the firstborn of every Egyptian household while sparing the homes marked with the blood of the lamb. It was not indiscriminate; it was a targeted culling, separating those under covenant covering from those in rebellion.
Again in 2 Samuel 24:15-16, when David sinned by numbering Israel’s fighting men, a plague sent by God claimed the lives of seventy thousand people in a single stretch, and only relented when God, moved by mercy, commanded the angel to stop.
These are not fables, but warnings.
Why Now?
The earth groans under the weight of unrepented sin. Nations have traded righteousness for perversion, truth for lies, and the fear of God for the worship of self. There is blood in the soil, unborn children, innocent victims, persecuted believers. The cries of the oppressed have reached the ears of the Almighty.
God is patient, yes. He is merciful, absolutely. But He is also just, and there comes a time when judgment is the most merciful thing He can allow, lest wickedness consume the earth entirely.
The culling now underway is both physical and spiritual. Some will fall to disease, disaster, and sudden calamity. Others will be given over to spiritual death, hearts so hardened by pride, rebellion, and deception that no light can reach them. It is a sobering time.
A Separation is Happening
This is not a season of random tragedy but of divine distinction. The righteous are being marked. The faithful are being called to deeper consecration. Meanwhile, the defiant, the mockers, and those who have sought to harm God’s people are being exposed.
Just as in Egypt, where homes under the blood were passed over, those under the covering of Christ are protected. This does not mean absence of trial, but deliverance from final destruction.
Psalm 91:7 - “A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.”
The separation is spiritual, moral, and eternal.
A Call to the Remnant
To the faithful remnant, this is your hour. Not to hide in fear, but to stand in holiness. Mark your homes with prayer. Consecrate your hearts. Preach truth unflinchingly. Call the lost to repentance while the window of mercy remains open.
The culling is not merely punishment but also purification. God is refining His people, removing those who have clung to forms of godliness while denying its power. He is silencing voices that claimed His name but spoke from their own imaginations. He is shaking every system, church, and nation not built upon His foundation.
The Hope Amidst the Reckoning
For all its dread, divine judgment is never without purpose. It is a means of correction, a final plea for repentance, and a preparation for the revealing of God’s glory. After the culling comes revival. After the shaking, a harvest.
As Hebrews 12:27 declares:
“The removing of what can be shaken, that is, created things, so that what cannot be shaken may remain.”
What will remain is a purified people, a church without compromise, and a testimony of God’s sovereign rule over heaven and earth.
If you have felt distant from God, heed this moment. Turn from sin. Call on the name of Jesus while He may be found. The blood of the Lamb still speaks a better word than the angel of death.
To those who have stood firm, remain watchful, remain faithful. You were born for such a time as this.
And to the defiant, the mockers, the oppressors, unless you repent, what is coming will not pass you by.
The angel moves. The culling has begun. But grace remains for those who will run to the mercy seat.
As I read this, I smile 😊. God’s mercy is great. Greater than anyone can imagine. I can’t count the times that I asked for His protection for His people wanting His Glory to Shine like the sun ☀️. I can’t say about the fence sittters. He may give them a bit more time to decide. But, for those who love Him with all their strength, mind, heart and soul, we got nothing to worry about.
Give Thanks to Almighty God • Jesus and He’s right there. Praise Him Always!!
We are currently studying the book of Exodus at my church and in the midst of the plagues 😳 But we as believers have to look to God that our homes will be passed over with the modern day plagues.
